What the tropics actually do to your hair
Salt water, chlorinated pools, strong sun, humid air and cold air conditioning. Every one of them pulls moisture out of your hair, and together they do it every single day. That is why hair that behaved perfectly at home suddenly frizzes, tangles and breaks here.
Curly and wavy hair feels it first. A curl is dry by nature: the scalp's own oils cannot travel down a spiral to the ends. Add humidity, and the hair starts drinking water from the air, swells and puffs up. Add sun and salt, and it dries out again by evening.
So the answer is not one miracle bottle. It is a routine that matches the climate you actually live in. I will show you what to change, and it is usually less work than what you are doing now.
- Rinse your hair with fresh water right after the sea or the pool, before the salt and chlorine dry in.
- Wet your hair with clean water before swimming: hair that is already full of fresh water absorbs less salt.
- Use a leave-in product every day, not only after washing. In this climate it is protection, not luxury.
- Do not fight the humidity with a flat iron. It wins by lunchtime, and you pay with damaged ends.
Curly hair specialist: why I cut curls dry
Most hairdressers wet your hair, comb it straight, pull it tight and cut a clean line. On straight hair that line stays clean. On curly hair it does not: every curl springs back to its own length, and the line you paid for turns into steps, corners and a triangle.
I cut curls dry, curl by curl, in their natural state. I see exactly where each curl falls and I shape what is really there. This is the curly method, and the point of it is simple: your hair should hold its shape by itself, without a flat iron every morning.

Haircuts and hair repair after sea and sun
A holiday of two weeks and a year of living here are different stories. Two weeks of sun and salt usually wash out with good care. A year of it, plus bleaching, plus daily heat, is a longer conversation.
I will tell you honestly what can be repaired and what cannot. Ends that are already split do not glue back together, whatever the label promises. What we can do is stop the damage, cut off what is dead and build a routine that keeps the new growth healthy.
If your hair only needs a reset, we do it in one visit and you leave with a plan. Deeper work takes more than one appointment, and I will say that before you book, not after.
Hairstyling and make-up for dinners, shoots and events
An evening out, a photo shoot on the beach, an anniversary dinner, a family session at sunset. In this climate a look has to survive heat, sea breeze and your own skin, so I build it differently than I would in a cool European city.
I do hair and make-up myself, with the same pair of hands. Nobody has to coordinate two artists, and the face and the hair follow one idea instead of pulling in two directions.
For photo shoots I go a little heavier on the make-up and matte where the light hits: the camera is far less forgiving than a mirror. Tell me what kind of light and location you will have, and I will plan around it.
Wedding hair and make-up in Phuket
A wedding day here is long and hot. Getting ready, photos, the ceremony, the sea breeze, then dinner and dancing. The look has to hold through all of it and still be yours at the last toast.
I do the bride and the guests, and I do both hair and make-up. Before the day we run a trial, look at the result in daylight and with flash, and write down the timing. That way the wedding morning has no surprises left in it.

Three formats, whichever suits you. I come to your villa or hotel with everything needed. You come to me and we work at my place. Or we meet at a salon or a rented chair on the island.
Write to me on WhatsApp or Telegram: tell me what you need, when you are free, and where you are staying. I will confirm the date and the format in chat and answer the same day.
Send a photo or a short video of your hair in its natural state, without styling, in daylight. That tells me more than any description, and I can say in advance what is realistic for your hair.
I am a native Russian speaker and I work with English speaking clients too. If it is easier for you to send a voice note in English, do that.

Yes, I work with English speaking clients. I am a native Russian speaker, so my English is practical rather than poetic, but we will understand each other perfectly well about your hair. Photos help: send a picture of your hair as it is now and a picture of what you like, and half of the conversation is already done.
Can you come to my villa or hotel?
Yes, that is one of the ways I work. I bring what is needed and set up where the light is best. Tell me the area and the time when you write, and I will confirm whether it works. You can also come to my place, or we can meet at a salon or a rented chair instead, whichever is easier for you.
How much does a haircut cost?
I quote for each person rather than from a fixed list, because the work is genuinely different: curly hair of different length and density, a cut alone or a cut with care, one person or a whole wedding party, at my place or at your villa. Write me a couple of lines about your hair and what you need, and you will have an honest number the same day, with no pressure to book.
I have curly hair and every stylist has ruined it. Why would this be different?
Because I cut curls dry and in their natural shape, not wet and stretched, so what I cut is what you will actually wear. And because I will tell you before we start what is realistic for your curl pattern and what is not. If I think an idea will not suit your hair, I will say so and offer something that will, rather than agree and let you find out at home.

Write to me and I will tell you straight away whether your date works, without keeping you waiting. Weekends, holidays and wedding dates get taken first, so the earlier you ask, the calmer it is for both of us. For a wedding, message well ahead: we also need to fit in a trial before the day itself.
